From the very beginning, our uncompromisingly pursued guideline was to employ only highly qualified professionals in the areas of law, taxes and audit, who speak perfectly German and English. It proved to be particularly successful to employ professionals trained in Germany but also with excellent knowledge of the Romanian language. The cooperation of these professionals with Romanian lawyers, tax consultants and auditors permits us to comply with the highest technical and linguistic quality standards. This paid off. Today, Stalfort operates offices in the capital city Bucharest and in Sibiu and Bistrita, having employed best professionals and being well equipped, thus our clients can always find a competent partner. Stalfort runs not only in Bucharest, and the important economic region of Transylvania (Sibiu and Bistrita), but throughout Romania, a well-established network of correspondent relationships with competent lawyers, notaries, translators, banks and other service providers as well as government employees.

 

 

We All Speak The Same Language

 

Everyone of our professionals speaks Romanian and English, of course. Consequently, so called "triangle translations" in negotiations or pleadings are therefore excluded by the structure at Stalfort. The official language used by our office is in fact German. Not only our professionals, but also our friendly office managers are proficient in German and Romanian. One thing you will not get in our offices is incomprehensible terminology. Our clients have the right to be offered a clear and accessible piece of information and advice, even when it comes to Romanian legal concepts, having no exact German equivalent.

If you have already worked with international law firms, you are familiar with the problem: your attempt to reach your (ever changing) competent lawyer, leads every time by the telephone exchange via various secretarial employees to an employee from the back office, who will not remember you nor your case. When receiving the invoice as well as a highly confusing list of services ? you cannot help the feeling that most of the charged work time was spend on looking for your file, this of course for hourly rates that easily can exceed 300,- EUR. This is how it comes for you to pay the price for too large a staff, a generously-equipped office in a privileged area of the city, a bloated bureaucracy, expensive marketing campaigns, etc. We work with much lower overhead costs than international law firms and can therefore offer fair hourly rates and correct settlement to the benefit of our clients. We can also prevent you from having to deal with changing partners in your law firm, as you often could experience in big law firms. Our credo is this: Comprehensive, but always personal services with a "case manager" as a direct contact. This person plans, in coordination with the client, all the individual steps and coordinates the involvement of other project participants.
